The partners of GBACO are pleased to announce the promotion of Matthew B. Sarver, CPA to Partner.
Matt was promoted to Partner in the Audit and Accounting Department. He spends the majority of his time providing auditing services to clients in a variety of industries including nonprofit organizations, manufacturing, and professional services. In addition to everyday managerial responsibilities, Matt also supervises various audit, review, compilation, and other assurance engagements. Additionally, Matt is responsible for assisting with the firm's quality control areas. His specialty areas include ERISA retirement plans and HUD audits.
A member of the firm since 2007, Matt is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Robert Morris University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting. Matt is a Certified Public Accounting and has also been issued an "Advanced Defined Contribution Plans Audit Certificate" by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) in 2016, a credential that he still maintains in relation to his work with retirement plan audits.
Matt is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accounts, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and in April 2021 became a board member of the Washington County Habitat for Humanity.
