Example Audit Information Request List  

Before the start of an audit, auditors send auditees an audit information request list.  This list is a master list of all the documents the auditor will need to complete the audit. 

Auditees should make it a priority to prepare the contents of the list for their auditor(s).  Having the list prepared promptly ahead of the audit ensures a smooth and swift audit process, reducing the cost of the audit for the auditees.  

Waiting for documents from auditees is one of the most common hold ups for auditors.  Every coordination between auditor and auditee slows the process down, as well as, the time it takes for auditees to respond to information requests.
