Congratulations Are In Order!

GBACO is pleased to announce the following promotions!

Jennifer A. Varley, CPA

Jen has been promoted to Partner.  Since joining the firm in 2008 she has been responsible for managing our nonprofit audit practicing, with a focus in our HUD specialty area.  She has 32 years of experience working primarily in audit and assurance areas.

Varley graduated from Duquesne University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. A CPA since 1987, she is also a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Stephanie D. Wright, CPA

Stephanie has been promoted to Manager within the Audit & Assurance department.  She spends the majority of her time providing auditing services to clients in a variety of industries including nonprofit organizations, manufacturing, and professional services.

In addition to her normal managerial responsibilities related to the audit and accounting engagements assigned to her, she will be responsible for assisting with the firm’s quality control areas and continuing to provide assurance services for clients in various industries, as well as staff training and development. 

Stephanie joined the firm in 2011 after graduating, Magna Cum Laude, from Duquesne University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting and a minor in Spanish. Stephanie received her CPA licensure in 2012.

Patrick Rossiter

Patrick has been promoted to Senior Consultant within the Tax department. 

Patrick graduated in 2014 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and joined the Firm in 2014 and has worked primarily in the tax group, but also assists the Audit and Accounting group throughout the year.

Welcome Jenny Shao!

GBACO is thrilled to welcome Jenny Shao to our Audit and Accounting department as a Staff Consultant!

Jenny received her Master of Science in Accounting from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh in December 2016.  

Jenny has prior experience as a Tax Intern for Brunner Blackstone & Associates, PC and as an Assurance Associate for PwC.
